At a gala soirée at the Louvre Museum, Valeo launched its first calender of images combining higt fashion and higt technology. Photographer Jaime Ocampo Rangel contacted Valeo, the number two automotive parts manufacturer in the world, and proposed the idea of a calendar illustrating their products , to be celebrated with this events.

The photographer's work in fashion and advertising combines his mature sense of desing with sedutive andlavish color. In collaboration with designer Li Haye, who created a unique haute couture costume for each month, Ocampo Rangel incorporated Valeo's objects in the images, creating a parallel universe where headlights are transformed into precious ruby earrngs and a sleek radiator adorns the clasp of a shoe.
In the spirit of Valeo's quest for innovation and excellence, the unique soirée at the Louvre brought 500 prestigious invited guests together to see the newest inventions in automotive design. A buffet feast followed a fashion show of Ji Haye's sumptuous gowns; the models paraded in front of a giant screen onto which Ocampo Rangel's photographs were projectd.

Not only a luxurious evening in a drean location, the soirée was an ideal marketing tool that highlighted Vleo's products, while enticing its parteners and clients, including the CEO's of the world's top vehicle manufacturs. The CEO of Valeo, Thierry Morin, reported that the new contacts and publicity generated by the calendar and the Louvre event were invaluable, and plans are already in action for the next calendar.
